Start with a specific destination

Orange County Convention Center is a campus, so an event name and building instruction are more useful than a general destination alone. Confirm your edition’s assigned building, concourse and attendee entrance in the organizer’s current information. The home expo, MEGACON and Animate! editions connected below have their own dates and arrangements. Do not transfer a hall assignment from a previous year or another show. Keep the building name with your booking before choosing parking, a drop-off point or accommodation.

Read the event’s parking instructions

OCCC’s official parking page identifies parking at the West and North-South Buildings, with additional parking at Destination Parkway Garage. It says rates vary, spaces are first come, first served and roadside signs identify event-specific parking areas. Use that information alongside your organizer’s instructions. If advance parking is offered, check the particular day and location before buying. A prepaid parking confirmation and an admission ticket serve different purposes; keep both accessible and read their separate conditions.

Prepare for the payment and arrival process

The venue’s parking page states that OCCC is cashless and does not allow overnight parking. Plan a suitable payment method and avoid assuming your event parking covers an overnight stay. Save any parking confirmation where you can find it before reaching the entrance. Once parked, note the lot and a recognizable landmark, then allow time to reach your building and registration. Ask an official staff member if signage and your saved instructions appear to conflict, rather than continuing toward an uncertain entrance.

Use the campus tools to orient yourself

The center advertises a campus wayfinding app with walking directions, a building directory and parking locations. Review the available official maps or tools before arrival, then use the organizer’s floor plan for the areas inside its show. Those resources answer different questions: reaching a building is not the same as locating a particular exhibitor or panel. Choose a clear meeting point for your group and keep a simple written fallback if a phone loses power or cannot connect.

Arrange the access you need

Contact the venue and organizer early if you need a particular accessible route or service. Ask how to move from your intended arrival point to badge collection and onward to the areas you want to visit. If equipment rental or an event shuttle matters to your plan, obtain the current edition’s arrangements rather than assuming a service from a previous show remains available. Bring the response with you and include breaks when selecting activities. A comfortable pace is part of a successful visit.

Finish with the organizer’s latest update

Look at current bag rules, ticket conditions, entry times and any required reservations shortly before traveling. Keep family or group plans realistic: pick a few priorities, leave room for wandering and decide how everyone will get back to the car or pickup point. Our venue profile links reviewed public events; it is not a list of every campus booking. Official visitor resources help you navigate, while the exact event’s instructions establish what you may attend and how that edition operates.
